![]() ![]() It's the one thing I feel we had more of in book 1. I would have liked to have seen more of Rowan's relationships with the other characters, but that's probably a personal preference. I have a bit better of an understanding regarding how things work now, I just wish there was something more unique about the world. ![]() ![]() And a petty Nate is something that I didn't realise I needed but it was definitely amusing! We also get to see more of the setting and briefly meet two other supernatural species. I partly got my wish: we get to see more of Noah because Rowan's family are becoming increasingly concerned. There's still a lot of recap but it has a natural flow and honestly, I was kind of grateful for it. ![]() We haven't missed anything since the story returns only a day after the previous book ends. The plot is pretty much the same as book 1 - more vampires are released from their tombs and Rowan and the Embassy try to track down the culprits. This series really is perfect for fans of the Vampire Diaries, although, the Rogue Valkyrie seems much more 'down-to-earth' to me.Īnd oh, it's so slow burn it's killing me. I KNEW IT!!! I BLOODY KNEW IT!!! Of course, I can't tell you what I knew, but suffice to say: I KNEW IT!!! ![]()
